My stay at Sofitel Brisbane Central had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic and made it super easy for me to catch the train to the airport, but I found the rooms a bit outdated. While the staff was generally friendly, I faced some issues with room accessibility and the service could have been better during peak times. Overall, I think there are better options out there if you’re looking for a truly accessible experience.

Rooms
7.0
The room felt spacious but a bit old-fashioned. It was comfortable enough for me, though a lack of universal power outlets was a drawback.
Service
5.0
While most staff were friendly, I encountered some issues with accessibility information and waited too long at the front desk.
Location
9.0
The location was excellent, right above Central Station, making it super easy to explore the city and get to the airport quickly.
Dining
6.0
The food was okay, but I was disappointed by the service during the conference as many items ran out quickly.
Facilities
7.0
Good facilities like room service and a well-stocked bar, but I felt like the bathrooms could use an upgrade.

I had a lovely experience overall at Sofitel Brisbane Central, especially with the location and the really good concierge service. However, there were a few issues with initial communication regarding lounge access and some amenities that left me slightly disappointed. Despite this, the staff went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable, particularly in the Club Lounge where the breakfast offerings were impressive.

Rooms

My Club Room on the 29th floor was large and very comfortable, equipped with all anticipated amenities. The bed was especially comfy, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the extra pillows I requested through room service.
Service
9.0
The service was a highlight of my stay. The concierge team, especially Harry and Mark, provided really good assistance and hospitality, and the staff in the Club Lounge, including Ing and Kevan, were friendly and attentive.
Location
9.0
The location was perfect for exploring the city, with easy access to transport and a variety of dining options nearby. I enjoyed that it was close to the CBD without being noisy, as I hardly heard the trains despite the station being directly below.
Dining
8.0
The dining experiences were good, particularly the breakfast in the Club Lounge, which offered a great variety of fresh, healthy meal choices. I also enjoyed complimentary pre-dinner drinks and canapés, although I felt the dinner service at one restaurant was a bit slow.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had excellent facilities, including room service and valet parking. The cleanliness was commendable, but I think some areas in the hotel could use a refresh to match the high standards expected from a luxury hotel.

My stay at Sofitel Brisbane Central was a mix of great experiences and a few drawbacks. The central location made getting around Brisbane effortless, especially with direct train access from the airport. The buffet breakfast was undoubtedly one of the highlights, providing a vast selection for every taste. However, the room felt dated and showed signs of wear, which detracted from the otherwise enjoyable experience. Overall, it's a solid choice for visitors, though it does have room for improvement. 🌟

Rooms

I stayed in a Luxury room that, while roomy and quiet, seemed quite dated. The furniture and bathroom fixtures felt worn, and I wished for a better view since the square outside was under renovation. The water pressure in the bathtub was also a bit weak. 🛁
Service
9.0
The service at Sofitel was really good. The staff were friendly and attentive, making me feel genuinely welcomed as an AccorPlus member. They even accommodated an early check-in for me, which was much appreciated. 🍽️
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is prime, being situated above Central Station and within walking distance to major attractions like Southbank and QPAC. This central positioning made it easy to explore the city. 🏙️
Dining

The buffet breakfast at Thyme 2 was excellent, with an extensive selection that truly impressed me. It was easily one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had. However, some dining experiences, like dinner at Harlequin Jack, were just average. 😋
Facilities
7.0
The hotel features a gym on the top floor and a heated jacuzzi, which I enjoyed during my stay. However, I noticed that housekeeping could be more thorough in maintaining cleanliness throughout. Also, the corridor on my floor felt a bit damp.

My stay at Sofitel Brisbane Central was mostly enjoyable, thanks to the fantastic location and comfy rooms. However, a few hiccups, like the escalator being out of service and some pricing issues, put a bit of a damper on my experience.

Rooms

I stayed in a comfy double room that was surprisingly quiet considering its location above Central Station. The facilities felt a bit outdated for the price I paid, but the large beds ensured a good night's sleep.
Service

Most of the staff were super friendly and really attentive, making my stay pleasant. The concierge was especially helpful in storing my bags after checkout, which was a nice touch.
Location

The location couldn't be better! It's right above Central Station, so getting to and from the airport was a breeze. Plus, there are plenty of shopping options nearby.
Dining

The restaurant and bar on-site were quite nice, with delicious food, although breakfast was a bit chaotic with so many guests. The quality of the food itself was great, though!
Facilities
6.0
The overall amenities were decent with room service and valet parking available. However, I found the $40 upgrade for a 'luxury' room a bit hard to justify given its aging appearance.
